ILOILO City – A delegation led by Mayor Jose Espinosa III is flying to the United States for a weeklong trade mission from June 4 to 9.
The mission’s focus is spreading the good news about the city and its environs to “lure more investors,” said Espinosa.
The delegation will be in New York on June 4 (Kalayaan Hall, Philippine Center) and Washington DC on June 7 (Philippine Embassy).
The city government’s presentation will include the following:
* new business incentives
* new initiatives to ease doing business
* conservation program to preserve landmarks and heritage sites
* latest projects including improvements of facilities (public markets and plazas), a proposal for a halfway home for children in crisis, assistance to the elderly and the poor
The delegation will include city government officials, business and academic leaders, artists and private individuals./PN
