Iloilo City imposes stricter travel protocols

ILOILO City – In view of the rapid surge of coronavirus disease 2019 cases in other localities in the country, the local government units (LGUs) in Western Visayas imposed stricter travel protocols effective March 20 to April 10 unless lifted earlier.

This policy applies to arriving passengers whether traveling by land, air, or sea to Iloilo City, except those traveling from areas within Western Visayas. It also applies whether travel to Iloilo City is transitory or as an end-destination.

Travelers bound to Iloilo City must use the Safe, Swift, and Smart passage (S-PaSS) Travel Management System prior to travel. It will serve as the one-stop-one-shop application or communication for travelers.

All individuals travelling to Iloilo City must secure a negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result showing the date of specimen extractions or swabbing was made not more than three days before the date of travel; submit a photo or scanned copy of said negative RT-PCR test result to Iloilo City Emergency Operations Center; and travel coordination permit which can be obtained through the S-PaSS Travel Management System.

An authorized person outside of residence (APOR) must present a negative RT-PCR test result showing the date of specimen extractions or swabbing was made not more than three days prior to the date of travel. APORs must provide their identification card, travel order, and travel itinerary. They must pass symptoms-screening at ports of entry and exit./PN
