MANILA – F2 Logistics Cargo Movers star Abigail Maraño said she’d be glad to play as a guest player in a Thailand team for the Thai-Denmark Super League on March.
The Passi, Iloilo-native Maraño said she won’t turn down an offer to play even as a guest import in the prestigious volleyball tournament joined by powerhouse teams.
“Masaya ako na na-recognize ang talento ko sa Thailand. I feel so blessed kasi nagbubunga na ‘yung hardwork ko,” said the three-time Philippine Superliga Best Middle Blocker awardee.
“Hindi ko palalagpasin ang pagkakataon kung sakaling may offer,” she added. “Pagkakataon ko na rin makita ko ‘yung idol kong si Pleumjit (Thinkaow) marami akong matututunan sa kanya.”
The former De La Salle University Lady Spikers star revealed that she was approached by a number of Thai-based teams a few years back but no concrete offer from the said teams came.
Maraño is among the PSL volleybelles being eyed as imports in the Thai-Denmark league along with Guimaras-native Jovelyn Gonzaga, Jaja Santiago and Kim Fajardo.
