MANILA – Iloilo-based taekwondo jins took home 30 medals, including 20 golds, in the 2019 Shinhan World Peace Taekwondo Festival at the Shinhan University Uijeongbu-si Gyeonggi-do in Seoul, South Korea.

Fyll Krystyl Xylyl Oliva spearheaded the Region 6 delegation with three gold medals in individual poomsae, mixed pair poomsae and kyorugi events on Saturday.

Quinn Pauline Hormigoso, meanwhile, had two golds in individual poomsae and mixed poomsae and bronze in kyorugi.

Sophia Tungala delivered golds from individual poomsae and kyorugi and silver in mixed pair.

Antonio Miguel Nafarrete bagged golds in individual poomsae and kyorugi and silver in mixed pair.

Ayna Tajanlangit won golds in individual poomsae and mixed pair and bronze in kyorugi.

Jesseray Frantilla clinched golds in kyorugi and mixed pair and bronze in individual poomsae.

Ben Capadosa won gold medals in individual poomse and kyorugi, same with Ashton Martin Losaria who also had two golds in the same event.

Head coach Flora Navales had three medals — gold in mixed pair, silver in individual poomsae and bronze in kyorugi.

LilMayden Torrefiel Niverca had gold in kyorugi and silver in individual poomsae and Alexander Bell had gold in mixed pair and silvers in individual poomsae and kyorugi.

“We all did a really great job. Now our mission has been accomplished let’s enjoy the fruit of our labor,” Navales said./PN
