MANILA – Negrense taekwondo jins bagged more medals in the 2020 SMART/MVP Sports Foundation/PLDT Home Ultera National CPJ (Carlos Palanca Jr.) taekwondo championships at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall in Pasay City.

Negros Taekwondo Union-Tigers New Gen’s Jamie Hannah Agaloos took home a silver medal in the 17-and-under freestyle and also bagged a bronze medal in junior women poomsae.

Marielle Aimee Beronio, on the other hand, was the other silver medalist in the stable. She placed second in the cadet girls lightweight category.

The Negros Occidental-based taekwondo gym also harvested bronze medals courtesy of Miguel Zapata in cadet boys flyweight category and Ceanne Kyle Rosquillo in the senior men poomsae.

Earlier capturing gold medals from the Negros Taekwondo Union were Leigh Andee Rodriguez in Junior Women finweight, Dims Diaz in 17-and-under Freestyle and Bea Zapata- Gradeschool girls individual poomsae.

The two-day taekwondo event was exclusive for Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) blackbelters./PN
