AS YOU read this, I could be sipping margaritas in a pool in Cancun, Mexico.
My sister and her family have invited me to come along with them to sweet Cancun.
Of course, I just wanted to bond with my grown nieces.
If I get myself some Mexican carne on the side, that’s another matter. Haha!

I came back to the continental USA from my PINK Ambassadorial Tour of UK and Europe on March 1.
I am a very happy and content tourist.
I travelled to eight countries during the tour: UK, Sweden, Czechia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Germany.
I was in high spirits, with no signs of jet lag.
I even agreed to be booked with a cousin to a weeklong tour of Iceland starting April 1.

But as soon as I returned to the US mainland in March, I also began to entertain friends and gossips about them.
One “good, old friend” is said to have a crappy life at the moment.
Sick with cancer, recently bereaved of a father, and separated from her cheating husband for maybe five years now.
I am supposed to feel sorry for her.
But she’s openly campaigning for someone other than Pink Leni for president.
So in my mind, she deserves everything that comes to her.
Sorry, not sorry.
Sometimes, it comes down to this.

There are many reasons for illness and cancer.
But you should not rule out your own rottenness.
The festering evil thoughts and diabolical designs in your spirit and mind.
As for me, I just got the results of my annual physical check up on March 9.
I am declared “in the pink of health” by my doctor.
No STIs, still HIV negative, despite my debauched behavior in Europe.
And wonder of wonders, I still dodged Covid-19.

I believe in the grand design of the universe.
I believe in Logic and Reason.
I believe that love begets love, and some people are just difficult to love.

I also believe that I don’t really have to stress myself about what happens to the world now.
It’s for the young people to figure out what they want for their future.
I’m ready to go, my Lord!
And still, I believe that I have to make a stand during this crucial campaign period, and elections, of the Philippines.
Because I am still a Filipino, and I am supposed to be smarter than most.

And if it is stooping down to the level of the stupids, so be it.
But let no one criticize me if they themselves are not putting themselves out there.
If they are not as brave as I am to get down and dirty fighting the guttersnipes who pollute the alternative universe of social media.

In real life, I don’t like calling people bobo or idiots.
But I can play better the games that trolls and paid hacks do on social media.
In fact, I am very good at it.
In the beginning, I picked up fights that I could easily win.
Now, I am invincible.
Because people see that I don’t back down.
That I have integrity, media clout, and I am surprisingly entertaining.
I’m a train wreck from which they can’t take their eyes.
And for me, that just means power.
