ILOILO City – Four Indian men allegedly ganged up on and robbed a fellow Indian in Barangay Caingin, La Paz district.
The 30-year-old Rupender Gill Singh was having a drink with friend Mandeep Taliban in the former’s house in Villa Carolina subdivision when attacked around 9 p.m. on July 27, a police report showed.
Police said the victim could identify only three of the suspects – Mandeep Singh, 34; Pardeep Singh, 34; and Sukhgeet Singh, 26, all residents of Ledesco Village, La Paz.
The four attackers barged in the victim’s house and struck him using a piece of bamboo and took his iPhone 5s worth P10,000, a Nokia cellphone worth P1,000 and P40,000 cash, the police report showed.
The suspects fled while his companion brought the victim to the Iloilo Mission Hospital in Jaro for the treatment of his wounds.
La Paz police station officers were still hunting for the suspects as of this writing./PN
