ILOILO City – Police in Maasin, Iloilo caught a drunken man indiscriminately firing his gun Tuesday night.
Guillermo Eleazar of Barangay Sinubsoban, Maasin faces charges for violation of the election gun ban and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Under the influence of liquor, the 36-year-old alarmed and scared his neighbors when he discharged his 12-gauge shotgun at around 10:45 p.m., police said.
Officers took Eleazar to the Maasin police station after arresting him.
They also seized his shotgun. Eleazar did not have a license to possess the weapon, police said./PN
