BACOLOD City – An inmate from Police Station 9 was found dead on Tuesday morning.
Alonzo Madraga, 41, a resident of Purok San Sebastian, Barangay Sum-ag, used a wire to hang himself inside the detention cell.
He is the only inmate occupying cell No. 2 of the police station, said Police Chief Inspector Rollie Pondevilla.
Pondevilla said the victim was charged with violation of RA 9165 and attempted robbery.
His family failed to visit him for some time, Pondevilla added./PN
