ILOILO City – Two barangay tanods (village watchmen) in Barrio Obrero, Lapuz district arrested a 44-year-old drunken resident.
Joel Delamar, 44, shouted, “Sin-o maisog da,” around 1:15 a.m. on Aug. 12, creating “alarm and scandal” and “public disturbance,” a police report showed.
Tanods Ramon Alba, 49, and Antonio Loyola, 48, asked him to pipe down but Delamar snapped at them, saying, “Maano kamo? Mga gago! Mga bulay-og kamo,” the report stated.
That was when the watchmen apprehended him. Delamar resisted but was subdued.
Delamar was detained at the La Paz police station./PN
