ILOILO City – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) has launched a poster-making contest to honor all frontline workers in the current effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The contest theme is “Pinahanga mo ako.”
These are the contest mechanics:
* The contest is open to all Filipinos around the globe.
* The poster must illustrate, interpret and emphasize the contest theme.
* The poster must be done in free hand using the following materials (to be provided by contestant): ¼ size illustration board (white background, vertical orientation) and regular pencil; permitted coloring materials are oil pastel/craypas, markers, ink, oil, acrylic and watercolor. The use of other materials not specified above is strictly prohibited.
* Ten finalists will be selected from all entries, from which IPPO shall choose one grand winner and two runners up (1st and 2nd).
The artist of the winning poster will receive a laptop computer, while first and second runners up shall receive a desktop computer and tablet computer, respectively.
All 10 poster finalists may be featured or used by IPPO in all its publications and other purposes.
The entries will be judged according to the following criteria:
* creativity, presentation – 40 percent
* originality – 30 percent
* relevance – 30 percent
Official entries must be submitted to the IPPO at Camp Francisco Sumagaysay Sr. in Santa Barbara, Iloilo on or before April 28 with letter of endorsement addressed to Police Colonel Paul Kenneth Lucas, police provincial director.
Shortlisting will be held on April 30.
The winners will be announced through the IPPO Facebook page <Iloilo Police Provincial Office Police Community Relations> on May 4.
The contestants are accountable for any issues that may arise with regard to the originality and authenticity of their design.
All posters will automatically become official property of IPPO reserves the right to revoke all prizes and titles in any case of misrepresentation or fraud, intended or otherwise, committed by any finalist upon due investigation by the IPPO.
Aside from honoring the frontliners, Lucas said, “Ginagawa namin ito para sa mga kababayan natin na nasa bahay at nag-o-observe ng enhanced community quarantine para may magawa naman sila.”/PN
