ILOILO – Between January and August this year, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) collected 586 illegal firearms.
A total of 417 were homemade, while 102 were deposited by their owners due to expired licenses. Others were confiscated in police operations.
The Calinog municipal police station recovered 44 firearms, topping other police units in this province.
