
BACOLOD City – A farmer was confined at the Ignacio Arroyo District Hospital in Isabela, Negros Occidental due to a serious gunshot wound to the leg.
Police said George Castillo, 38, was shot in his house in Barangay Montilla, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental around 6 p.m. on Aug.3.
He was homebound from a sari-sari store and was looking for his children when a certain Armando Locsin allegedly stopped him and drew a bladed weapon.
Police said Castillo ran towards his house but Locsin followed him, now wielding a gun, police added.
The suspect positioned himself in a dark area and pointed the firearm at a hole in Castillo’s house, according to the police. Then two bursts of gunfire were heard.
The suspect remained at large./PN
