ILOILO City – In Barangay Marcelo H. del Pilar, Jaro, two persons died in a stabbing incident.
The 40-year-old Arnold Hortillo and 50-year-old Emmanuel Andrade sustained stab wounds on the body, a police report showed.
According to police investigation, Hortillo and Andrade met at around 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
A heated argument ensued between them which prompted Andrade to stab Hortillo to death.
It was not immediately established what caused the altercation.
Meanwhile, Hortillo’s death prompted his two brothers Christy and Rodrigo to maul Andrade. Rodrigo stabbed Andrade to death, the report added. Rodrigo was detained in the lockup cell of the Jaro police station while police officers have yet to arrest Christy, who fled after the incident./PN
