BACOLOD City – A man, who stabbed his wife to death due to jealousy, committed suicide in Barangay 13, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified him as 53-year-old farmer Henry Biote.
According to police investigators, Henry and his 40-year-old wife Noemi have a heated argument on Thursday morning.
This prompted Henry to stab Noemi, police said.
Noemi sustained multiple stab wounds on the body and was brought to the Ikaayong Lawas Foundation Hospital in Victorias City where she was declared “dead on arrival.”
Henry, meanwhile, stabbed himself on the stomach, police said. He was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in this city where he expired.
Officers of the Victorias City police station were investigating the incident./PN
