Pedophile

A PEDOPHILE is a person who is sexually attracted to children while pedophilia or paedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children.
Put it any other way, a pedophile is a despicable person to say the least and surely deserves eternal damnation; to burn in the fires of hell if we are to follow what the Catholic Church says.
A pedophile is a sexual predator that preys on innocent children.
Just imagine what the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines or CBCP, the nuns of St. Scholastica’s College of Manila and the priests of Ateneo de Manila will do if the pedophile happens to be a high-ranking official of the Duterte administration or President Rodrigo Duterte himself. To put it mildly, all hell will break loose from the CBCP, et al.
Those so-called rape jokes will pale in comparison they will be on the same level as those stupid comments of Leni Robredo.
What if the pedophile is a “man of the cloth”, a priest, and not just any ordinary priest but a ranking one, a monsignor?
From the July 30 GMA News Online:
Antipolo diocese ‘looking into’ arrest of priest caught with 13-yr-old girl
“The Diocese of Antipolo in Rizal on Sunday said it is ‘looking into’ the arrest of a priest, who was caught with a 13-year-old girl while on his way to a motel in Marikina City.
“‘The Diocese of Antipolo is looking into the matter involving the arrest of Msgr. Arnel F. Lagarejos as allegedly identified as a suspect in [an] entrapment operation in Marikina City,’ the diocese said in a statement.
“It asked the public to ‘refrain from issuing unnecessary comments that might worsen the situation.’
“Lagarejos was arrested on Friday night while in the company of the girl, who was allegedly pimped by a 16-year-old friend.
“The entrapment operation was set by the Marikina City Police’s Women and Children Protection Desk based on a complaint by the girl’s mother.
“Lagarejos is facing a complaint of violation of Republic Act 9208 or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.”
And from the July 31 issue of the Philippine Star:
Priest stripped of duties over rape try
“MANILA, Philippines – The priest arrested by police after he allegedly tried to sexually abuse a 13-year-old girl in Marikina City has been stripped of his duties by the Catholic Church.
“Msgr. Arnel Lagarejos, 55, was ordered removed from his post at the St. John the Baptist Parish in Taytay, Rizal by Antipolo Bishop Francis de Leon.
“‘Bishop De Leon has stripped Lagarejos of his position in the diocese,’ the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) announced in its website.
“Lagarejos was also removed as president of the Cainta Catholic College, the CBCP said.
“Investigation conducted by the Eastern Police District (EPD) showed that Lagarejos was apprehended while he was supposedly taking the girl to a motel in Marikina on Friday night.
EPD director Chief Superintendent Romulo Sapitula said Lagarejos was collared near a mall along Sumulong Highway in Barangay Sto. Niño at around 6:30 p.m.
“Sapitula said a team from the Marikina police and Department of Social Welfare and Development caught Lagarejos in his sport utility vehicle – a gray Ford Explorer – with the minor.
“Police said Lagarejos sought the services of the girl, an out-of-school youth, through a 16-year-old pimp, who was also arrested during the operation.
“Sapitula said the arrests were made after the girl’s mother sought police help.
“Authorities said they recovered from Lagarejos an IPhone 5s supposedly containing his text messages to the pimp and the victim.
“Lagarejos is being held at the Marikina police station on charges of trafficking of a minor.
“Police filed charges of violation of Republic Act 9208, the Anti-Human Trafficking in Persons Act, against Lagarejos before the Marikina prosecutor’s office on Saturday.
“Lagarejos initially introduced himself as a self-employed man but later admitted that he was a priest during police interrogation.”

So there you go, a priest, a monsignor at that, was arrested for trying to rape and molest a 13-year-old girl and you know what, reports had it that Archbishop Socrates Villegas has asked the mother of the girl to forgive Msgr. Arnel Lagarejos and requested the media not to make any comments on the case.
I have no other word to describe Socrates Villegas’ actions but HYPOCRISY.
I was expecting Archbishop Socrates Villegas to come out with pastoral letters condemning this despicable act and raining fire and brimstone in his sermons but instead we have Socrates asking the mother to forgive her daughter’s molester and requesting people not make comments.
What about the nuns of St. Scholastica’s College of Manila? Are they not going to require their elementary students to come out in the streets with placards condemning Msgr. Lagarejos’ despicable deed?
Those elementary students of St. Scholastica are just the perfect age for Msgr. Lagarejos’ perverted taste.
But really, what can you expect from them? They even forgave a priest with HIV who has sexually molested boys. (brotherlouie16@gmail.com/PN)
