BACOLOD City – On Sunday afternoon, March 3, a collision involving two motorcycles in Barangay San Miguel, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental resulted in the loss of one driver and left three others injured.
The first vehicle was driven by Keith Rezin, 26, accompanied by his back rider, Allysa Marie Jusal, 26. The second motorcycle was operated by Edilberto Pamati-an Jr., 38, with his minor passenger, “Fatima Yvonne,” 15, from Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Lieutenant Colonel Lymel John Pasquin disclosed that Rezin and Jusal were from the city’s Barangay Ara-al and headed to Barangay San Miguel when they suddenly made a turn in the opposite direction, resulting in a collision with Pamati-an and “Fatima,” who were traveling in the same direction and attempting to overtake Rezin’s motorcycle.
The impact caused all four individuals involved in the accident to fall, leading to injuries and the death of Pamati-an, who crashed against the steel barrier on the roadside.
It was noted that none of the four victims were wearing helmets at the time of the incident./PN
