BACOLOD City – A man was stabbed to death in Barangay Mansalanao, La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
The 25-year-old resident Ricky Lumontad sustained stab wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as resident Jimmy Sincero, 33, it added.
According to police investigators, Lumontad and Sincero were having a drinking spree at the house of Manny Domingo around 7:45 p.m. on April 6.
When Lumontad went to urinate, the
suspect followed him and stabbed the victim several times using a bladed
weapon, police said.
But it was not immediately established what circumstance led to the stabbing.
Lumontad was rushed to the rural health unit of the town where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the La Castellana municipal police station conducted a manhunt operation against Sincero, who fled after the incident./PN
