ILOILO City – A 33-year-old laborer from Barangay Cristina, Tapaz, Capiz shot himself yesterday, a police report showed.
Romild Gardose died of a gunshot wound in the head.
His sister-in-law Jacquelyn Gabucay told the police they were in Barangay Apero, Tapaz at around 7 a.m., on their way home from the wake of a relative, when Gardose pulled out a gun and fired at himself.
It was not immediately clear what kind of firearm Gardose used.
Gardose was taken to the Tapaz District Hospital where he was pronounced “dead on arrival.”/PN
