ILOILO City – Sustaining a stab wound and bruises, a 24-year-old man was taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
Daryl Candico of Barangay Tagbac Sur, Oton, Iloilo was attacked, police said.
Police identified two suspects: Michael Figueroa, 27, and Romeo Dela Cruz, 42, both from Barangay Buray, Oton.
Officers arrested Figueroa and hauled him to the municipal police station’s lockup cell.
Dela Cruz evaded arrest and remains at large, a police report showed.
Candico told the police he was walking with his brother in Barangay Buray at around 8:45 p.m. on Friday when the suspects blocked their way.
Figueroa stabbed him on the body while Dela Cruz struck him with a hard object, the victim told police officers./PN
