BACOLOD City – At about 7:30 p.m. on March 5 in Hacienda Siason, Barangay Sibucao, San Enrique, Negros Occidental, a 24-year-old laborer was stabbed.
Neil Escasinas of Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental died.
A suspect had been identified – Escasinas’ cousin Bryan Escasinas, a laborer and also of Barangay Tabugon.
Neil sustained a stab wound in the abdomen. He died while being rushed to the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital.
Police said Bryan fled after the stabbing. As this was being written, his whereabouts were unknown.
