BACOLOD City – A laborer was stabbed to death in Barangay Dancalan, Ilog, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatality as 40-year-old resident Rogelio Campo.
Campo’s co-worker 22-year-old Jay-R Talabon was tagged suspect, a police report showed.
According to police investigation, Campo and Talabon were having a drinking session when the latter stabbed the victim using a bladed weapon around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3. It was not immediately established what was the motive in the incident.
Campo was rushed to the Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital but attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
The suspect, meanwhile, was arrested and now detained in the lockup cell of the Ilog police station, facing charges./PN
