‘Liso Kabuhi Ko’ launched in Negros Occidental

BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Provincial Government launched the “Liso Kabuhi Ko,” a home and community-based project, at the capitol’s Social Hall on Friday, April 11.

The event was spearheaded by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan committee on women and family, chaired by Provincial Board member Rita Gatuslao, and the Provincial Council for Women led by its president, Atty. Andrea Lizares-Si.

The project aims to promote agriculture and establish home and community gardens in line with the province’s food security, health and nutrition, and livelihood programs.

It also aims to promote the collection of vegetable seeds and cuttings, and establish home and community gardens.

The activity was attended by women leaders and stakeholders from various local government units( LGUs) and women organizations in the province.

The launching was a renowned spirit of unity ,collaboration and dedication of our shared mission, Gatuslao said.

She added: “Let this be the start of the more inclusive sustainable and gender responsive community.”/PN
