BACOLOD City – A 48-year-old mother was shot to death by a motorcycle-riding assailant in Barangay 2 Poblacion, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatality as Melaurie Pagunsan, a resident of the village.
The incident happened around 5:48 a.m. on July 24.
Investigation revealed that Pagunsan was walking together with her son when attacked.
The suspect, who was reportedly wearing a black jacket and bonnet, is yet to be identified, police said.
Investigation was ongoing.
The victim’s son, meanwhile, was unharmed, police added./PN
