BACOLOD City – Seven persons were arrested for illegal gambling in Barangay Zone 11, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
They were residents Joseph Diotay, Analy Jandoquile, Aida Nonato, Clarita Parra, Carmensita Benjamino, Gloria Tajanlangit, and Romela Dela Cruz, a police report showed.
Police chanced upon them playing mahjong and tong-its around 1:40 p.m. on May 15.
Recovered from their possession were a deck of playing cards, mahjong tiles and P269 bet money.
The suspects were detained at the Talisay City police station./PN
