BACOLOD City – A motorist figured in a road accident in Barangay II-Poblacion, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.
The 60-year-old Jover Garina of Barangay Miranda, Pontevedra died of head injuries, police said.
According to police investigation, the motorcycle driven by Garina crashed against a van around 7:10 a.m. on Jan. 30.
The van driver was identified as 44-year-old Rey Sayson from Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
He was detained in the lockup facility of the Pontevedra municipal police station, facing charges./PN
