BACOLOD City – A man was arrested for illegal possession of firearm in Barangay San Jose, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental.
An improvised shotgun was recovered from 54-year-old resident Edwardo Sorolla, a police report showed.
Police responded to the area after receiving reports from a concerned citizen who heard gunshots on Nov. 20, the report added.
The suspect was detained in the lockup facility of the E.B. Magalona municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
