BACOLOD City – A P72,000 bail bond was recommended for the temporary liberty of a man arrested in Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City, Negros Occidental.
Glecerio Maquiling Jr., 38, was charged with violating Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004, a police report showed.
The suspect was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 9:40 a.m. on May 18.
Judge Amy Alabado Avellano of Regional Trial Court, Branch 58 in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental issued the arrest warrant on March 3, 2021.
Maquiling was detained at the Escalante City police station./PN
