BACOLOD City – A man was found dead in a sugarcane plantation in Barangay Tinampaan, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Chief Inspector Rocky Desear, officer-in-charge of the Cadiz City police station, identified the man as the 65-year-old Juanito Pastor.
Purok Seaside president Lowella Conieda reported to the police after some residents discovered Pastor’s body around 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Pastor showed no sign of struggle, police said.
Based on the investigation, Pastor was suffering from cirrhosis of the liver. He was believed to have died a natural death, police said.
That day, he was gathering takway in the field, the police added./PN
