NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – A 44-year-old man was found lifeless early Tuesday morning, August 19, in Purok 2, Barangay Bantayan, Kabankalan City.
According to the Kabankalan City Police Station, alias “Nono”, who lived alone, was discovered at around 6:05 a.m. by a neighbor lying on the ground with blood. He sustained a fatal head injury.
Police learned from the family that the victim was heavily intoxicated the night before. They believe he may have lost his balance and struck his head on the corner of his bed, leading to the fatal injury.
The family declined a post-mortem examination, citing their belief that the incident was accidental.
Kabankalan police added they found no evidence of foul play in the victim’s death. (Watchmen Daily Journal)/PN
