ILOILO – A man was found dead in a river in Barangay San Fernando, Miag-ao town around 7 a.m. yesterday.
Federico Pagapulan, around 70 years old, was a resident of Sitio Camambugan in the town’s Barangay Dalije.
He was a person with disability (PWD) and had no clothes on when found by residents, the Miag-ao police said.
Police Captain Marvin Buenavista, chief of the Miag-ao Municipal Police Station, said the victim’s identity was confirmed by his family.
According to his family, Pagapulan went to his farm on Saturday, Oct. 29, at around 3 p.m.
“Posible nga nadanlog kay nagabaston ini siya. Pagkakita ni sa iya sang mangahoy tani, nagahapa na ini kag wala na sang panapton,” Buenavista said.
Police added there is a big possibility that the victim accidentally fell into the river and got drowned./PN
