ANTIQUE – A 38-year-old man landed in a hospital after he was mauled by two brothers around 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18 in Barangay 8, San Jose Buenavista town.
Rencie Jay Lajo, a resident of the town’s Barangay Mojon, sustained injuries on his head, knee and back of the body. He was brought to the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital.
According to Police Staff Sergeant July Job Miles of the San Jose Municipal Police Station, the victim was having a drinking spree with friends at Labetoria compound when brothers Joemar and Joenil Tanchuan of Purok Oring-oring, Barangay 8 suddenly arrived.
Miles added that the siblings suddenly mauled and hit the victim using wood and fled thereafter.
The police officer added that Lajo and Tanchuan brothers had a misunderstanding last year.
Joemar was apprehended by the San Jose police while Joenil was still at large as of this writing./PN
