ILOILO City – While on his way home walking, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Kalibo, Aklan was mauled then shot.
The 22-year-old Benjie Taladro was taken to the Kalibo District Hospital around 9 p.m. on Dec. 11.
The police identified a suspect – 24-year-old Nonoy Maayon of Laserna Street, Kalibo.
The attack was witnessed by Taladro’s companion, the 21-year-old April Salonzo.
Maayon fled after the shooting. As of this writing, his whereabouts were unknown./PN
