BACOLOD City – In Barangay Purisima, Manapla, Negros Occidental, a man was arrested for alleged illegal possession of firearms and illegal drugs.
Police served a search warrant at the residence of 39-year-old Roldan Berito around 6 a.m. on April 24.
The raid led to the recovery of firearms – .38-caliber revolver and .22-caliber rifle loaded with bullets – and three sachets of suspected shabu, a police report showed.
The suspect was detained in the lockup facility of the Manapla police station.
Charges for violations of Republic Act (RA) 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against him./PN
