BACOLOD City – In Barangay Sto. Niño, E.B. Magalona, a man was shot dead.
The 33-year-old resident Ritchie Gallo died of a gunshot wound on the body, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as 44-year-old resident Ramel Masagnay.
According to police investigators, Gallo went to Masagnay’s house where a heated argument ensued between them around 11 a.m. on Thursday.
This prompted Masagnay to shoot Gallo, police said.
Gallo was brought to the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City, Negros Occidental where he was declared “dead on arrival.”
The motive in the incident was not immediately established.
Officers of the municipal police station conducted a manhunt operation against Masagnay, who fled after the incident./PN
