ILOILO City – Police arrested a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Benedicto, Jaro district.
He was identified as 25-year-old Joshua Fernandez – a resident of the village, police said.
Fernandez was nabbed after he allegedly sold a sachet of dried marijuana leaves to an undercover cop for P1,000 around 12:50 a.m. yesterday.
When frisked, Fernandez yielded one more sachet of suspected marijuana leaves valued at around P2,000, the police added.
The suspect was detained in lockup cell of the Jaro police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
