MARIS Racal received support from the members of her glam team, who stressed that the actress — along with them — genuinely thought that Anthony Jennings was single when their dalliance started.

Racal’s celebrity stylist, Adrianne Concepcion, spoke up on the matter on Friday, Dec. 6, just after the actress addressed in a video the cheating allegations made public by Jennings’ non-showbiz ex-girlfriend, Jamela Villanueva.

In her tell-all, Racal admitted that she made a mistake but stressed she was told by Jennings that he was single.

“Single — ‘yan ang pagkakaalam naming lahat,” Concepcion said. “Ang mga detalye ng panloloko at pangangaliwa, nalaman lang namin kasabay ng publiko.”

“We had no knowledge, no consent, or have condoned to any wrongdoing. And that is our truth,” she stated.

Concepcion then empathized with “women who have gone through any form of gaslighting, cheating, and infidelity.”

“That is something I have never enabled, and will never approve of,” she stressed.

Addressing Racal, Concepcion continued, “Mahigpit na yakap. Alam namin ang katotohanan, and we will rally behind you.”

Racal’s makeup artist, Jay Salcedo, likewise expressed his support to the actress, saying they were “clueless” about Jennings’ actual relationship status at the time.

“We were just as clueless as everybody else. He’s single. ‘Yun ang chika to everyone,” Salcedo wrote.

“Hugs, Maris. We know the truth,” he added.

After Racal’s statement, Jennings also issued an apology to the actress and Villanueva, although he did not immediately give further explanation on the matter. (Anne Pasajol © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
