ILOILO – Mass weddings may be conducted even if the province is under pandemic Alert Level 3.
But the minimum health standards and other protocols must be observed, according to Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr., such as physical distancing and wearing of facemask.
Also, participants must be fully vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019, said Defensor, because “ang mass wedding high-risk activity na sia.”
If the mass wedding is indoor, the number of attendees must only be 30 percent of the venue’s maximum capacity.
If it is outdoor, the number of attendees is only up to 50 percent of venue’s capacity.
This is contained in Executive Order No. 001-A, Series of 2022.
Other allowed activities or high-risk establishments are the following:
* Venues for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE)
* Permitted venues for social events such as parties, wedding receptions, engagement parties, wedding anniversaries, debut and birthday parties, family reunions, and bridal or baby showers
* Indoor tourist attractions, which include, but not limited to, libraries, archives, museums, galleries, cultural shows and exhibits
* Outdoor tourist attractions, which include, but are not limited to, parks, plazas, public gardens, scenic viewpoints or overlooks;
* Amusement parks or theme parks
* Recreational venues such as internet cafes, billiard halls, amusement arcades, bowling alleys, skating rinks, archery halls, swimming pools, and similar venues
* Cinemas and movie houses/PN
