ILOILO City – In Barangay Oñate de Leon, Mandurriao district, a man was found dead on Mapa Street, a police report showed.
The man, believed to be mentally ill, was identified only as “Nior.”
Locals found Nior lifeless on Thursday. Barangay Kagawad Ricardo Juanillo reported to the police around 9 a.m.
One of the residents, Cindy Mae Leona, told the police Nior appeared “very sick” in the past few days. She last saw him alive around 6:30 a.m. that day.
Another resident, trisikad driver Glen Macalalad, said he last saw Nior alive around 7 a.m., the police report stated.
Barangay officials and residents brought the body to the Gegato-Abecia Funeral Homes and Crematory in Jaro./PN
