ILOILO City – In Barangay Mansaya, Lapuz district, a man and his friend were mauled by six people, a police report showed.
Edgar Ardama reported to the police that he was fetching his two daughters and friend Jason Benliro from a Halloween costume contest when they were attacked around 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 31.
Ardama identified the following suspects:
* Litic Cabahug
* Tabong Dionio
* Ralph Cahabug
* Steve Obidos
* Jonel Jalandoni
* Aljean Cahabug
Ardama told the police the six fled after the incident.
Ardama sustained swelling on the face and a wound on the left knee and complained of chest pain.
Benliro, on the other hand, had swelling on the forehead, the police report showed.
The two were referred to the West Visayas State University Medical Center on E. Lopez Street, Jaro for treatment.
It was not immediately clear what the motive was. Ardama said he could not think of a reason for the attack.
None of those the complainant tagged as attackers may be reached for comment as of this writing.
