ILOILO City – Police arrested a traffic enforcer for allegedly selling prohibited drugs.
Officers from the police station in Dueñas, Iloilo staged an entrapment operation in Barangay Capuling in the town.
The 39-year-old Jose Ramir Azucena, a resident of the same village, was caught.
Azucena sold to undercover police officers a sachet of shabu for P500.
Six more sachets were seized from him, according to Senior Inspector Rowena Hubero, Dueñas police chief.
The Dueñas police have been surveilling him for three months.
Aside from allegedly peddling drugs, Azucena was also using drugs, Hubero said in a phone interview, citing intelligence information.
Azucena was detained at the Dueñas police station after his arrest around 3:48 p.m. on Aug. 25.
He was facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
