CAPIZ – A 35-year-old man who has been missing since July 28 was found dead and floating in the river in Sitio Pangpang, Barangay Tapulang, Maayon town.
The body of Chris Corros, a resident of the aforementioned barangay, was found around 8:50 a.m. on Monday, July 29.
Major Syril Punzalan of the Maayon Municipal Police Station said Corros allegedly slipped and fell from the bridge in Sitio Pangpang on Sunday evening.
Search and rescue operation was immediately launched but the rescuers failed to locate the victim due to the strong water current.
The operation resumed the next with the help of several residents. The victim’s body was found more or less 400 meters away from the bridge, Punzalan said.
