ILOILO City – Four people ganged up on him in Barangay Tanza Timawa II, City Proper, a 30-year-old man told the police.
Harold Po, a resident of Barangay Ta-al, Molo district, said the incident happened during a basketball game.
Po identified his attackers as Jay-R Perez, AJ Perez, Jerezo Perez, and Zaldy Gumabong, a police report stated.
Jay-R punched him on the forehead “without any apparent reason” at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Po told the police.
Steven Daylo, 18, tried to pacify them but AJ threw a stone at him, hitting and wounding him on the left elbow, the police report said.
Po ran toward his motorcycle to escape but Gumabong, AJ and Jerezo stopped and mauled him until he eventually managed to run away, he told the police.
Police were still searching for the suspected attackers as of this writing.
Po sustained wounds on the different parts of the body. Police told him and Daylo to get their injuries treated.
