ILOILO City – A mortar shell was found in a junk shop in Barangay Magsaysay, Maasin, Iloilo.
A certain “Buday” sold the item to the junk shop, business owner Flor Catalan told officers on Sunday, a police report showed.
From what the police have so far gathered, the ammunition 60-caliber shell was taken from Barangay Tiring, Cabatuan town.
Operatives from the Explosives and Ordnance Division of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office detonated the mortar shell, the report stated./PN
