ILOILO – A motorcycle crashed against a parked truck in Barangay Catoogan, Pototan town, killing a fish vendor and injuring his companion.
The 28-year-old Alberto Corneja of Barangay Abangay, Pototan died of severe head and body injuries yesterday at the Iloilo Provincial Hospital.
His companion, Efren Dollete of Barangay Batuan, Pototan, was confined in that hospital, too.
The road accident happened around 12:25 a.m., according to Pototan police chief, Senior Inspector Bonifacio Alabe.
The motorcycle-riding victims were bound for the town of Barotac Nuevo to buy fish.
“The victims were thrown off their motorcycle,” said Alabe.
The truck driver placed a warning device ahead the truck, initial police investigation showed./PN
