CAPIZ – A 25-year-old driver died while his backrider was injured after a 10-wheeler truck ran over their motorcycle in Barangay Bula, Mambusao town here.
According to the Mambusao police station, driver alias “Jonathan”, a resident of the town’s Barangay Bato-bato, was hit by a truck driven by alias “Joemer”, 39, of Passi City, Iloilo on Wednesday, August 7.
His backrider alias “Hernan” managed to survive by jumping from the motorcycle.
Personnel of the Mambusao Emergency Rescue Unit brought the victims to Mambusao District Hospital but Jonathan was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician due to severe body injuries.
Police said Jonathan and Hernan were allegedly drunk./PN
