ILOILO – A man died after the motorcycle he was driving rammed an electric post around 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, in Barangay Libo-o, Dingle town.
The 31-year-old Jenel Almonde, a resident of Barangay Balod, Zarraga town, sustained fatal head injuries. He was declared dead on arrival at the Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Pototan by the attending physician.
In a Panay News interview, Captain Aillen Lacrete, chief of the Dingle Municipal Police Station (MPS), said the motorcycle skidded on the wet road due to rains and hit the electric post.
Emergency responders also said that the victim smelled of alcohol at the time./PN
