BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) has been recognized as the No. 1 police office in Western Visayas.

It received 94.43 percent unit performance evaluation rating for the month of March.

Two police stations under NOCPPO – those of Bago City and Valladolid town – were also recognized for their outstanding performance.

The Bago City police station led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong received 92.49 percent rating (city police office category), according to Police Lieutenant Abegael Donasco, NOCPPO spokesperson.

The Valladolid municipal police station under Police Major Wilfredo Benoman, on the other hand, received an 88.44 percent rating in the municipal police office category.

The two police stations showed good performance in anti-illegal drugs and anti-crime programs, and they were top-performers, too, in the campaign to arrest fugitives.

NOCPPO acting director Police Colonel Leo Pamittan congratulated his men and hoped that the citations would further inspire them to perform better./PN
