NPC recommends Pao to sit in Bacolod city council

BACOLOD City – The Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) recommended Pao Sy, daughter of the late Councilor Elmer Sy, to occupy the vacant seat in the Sangguniang Panlungsod.

Elmer Sy died in June last year.

Cong. Greg Gasataya, chairman of NPC in this city, said Pao’s documents were already endorsed by the party to the Office of the President (OP) for approval.

Elmer Sy, a long-time member of NPC, died at the age of 65 due to infection from coronavirus disease 2019

Usually, according to Gasataya, the political party chooses someone from the family of the deceased to take over the deceased’s post.

After Elmer Sy’s death, Councilor Renecito Novero said the No.12 member at the council, who is Councilor Wilson Gamboa Jr., becomes the No. 11 councilor.
