BACOLOD City – The Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) wanted to gather more members in Negros Occidental.
Vice Gov. Jose Eugenio Lacson, an NPC member, said he received an instruction from the national directorate.
Lacson said they will call a meeting after the Partido Demokratikong Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan’s mass oath-taking in the province.
The oath-taking will be held on the first week of October in Victorias City, with House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez to lead the induction, said Lacson.
After which, the NPC can determine the “available” politicians to recruit, he said.
Rep. Mercedes Alvarez (Negros Occidental, 6th District) and Kabankalan City mayor Isidro Zatco are the province’s highest ranking officials who are members of the NPC’s national advisory council.
Aside from them, Rep. Greg Gasataya (Lone District of Bacolod City) and 10 mayors in the province are with the NPC./PN
